Rommel Gil
Pastor
Pastor Rommel Gil is the founding and current pastor of Calvary Chapel of the Redwoods in Crescent City. Pastor Rommel grew up in La Mirada, CA, and attended San Jose State University. It was in 1980 that he had an encounter with Jesus Christ and became “born again” and wanted to know more about Jesus.
He immediately began attending Calvary Chapel Antioch and Calvary Chapel Concord where he grew in his relationship with Jesus Christ.
He and his family moved to Crescent City in 1988 where he planted the church in Smith River, CA. He has since moved the fellowship to Crescent City, where he pastors today.
He has a son, Rommel Anthony Gil and his wife Beth, who live in Loveland, CO, and a daughter, Jennifer Renee Gil, who lives in Huntington Beach, CA.
He has five grandchildren: Stella, Gabriella, Zion, and Rueben, and Cruz.
He currently lives in Crescent City with his beautiful wife, Barbara.
